What is an eco-friendly product?

For a product to be categorized as "eco-friendly", it must be safe for the environment, meaning, the item should be biodegradable, recyclable, compostable, or sustainable. For a full list of true definitions of these words and others among them, visit Green Glossary for further insight.

Instead of using plastic bags, try using a reusable bag made from recycled cotton. Most reusable bags today are made from recycled materials anyway, so that is a great way to becoming environmentally friendly.

If you give notebooks to your team, a great swap is to use a sustainable option. Journals have gone beyond just using recycled paper. Some journals are completely made up of apple pulp and other vegetable fibers to create the pages and cover.

From sustainability to recycled material! Even apparel has made its way to the eco-world. It's no surprise considering 85% of textiles end up in landfills. Hoodies, shirts, and caps have taken the lead in being made of recycled fabric. How neat is it to think that you are wearing something that is benefitting the environment from being reproduced!

Some companies and organization may just be starting out on their Going Green journey, but small steps create large strides in the end when trying to become environmentally conscience.
